EMK Institute welcomes HHS Secretary Burwell, Senator Warren, Congressman Lynch, and others for White House Conference on Aging 2015 Regional Forum

BOSTON – May 28th, 2015 - Today the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate hosted the 5th and final Regional Forum of the 2015 White House Conference on Aging. Through public engagement and dialogue, the Conference discusses issues of importance to older Americans, including elder justice, retirement security and healthy aging.

Speakers at the today’s forum included Sylvia Mathews Burwell, secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, U.S. Congressman Stephen Lynch; Nancy LeaMond, Executive Vice President of the AARP Foundation, and others.

“We are honored to welcome Secretary Burwell, Senator Warren, and Congressman Lynch as part of the White House Conference on Aging,” said Jean MacCormack, the Institute’s President. “The EMK Institute is proud to be part of this important conversation on issues affecting aging Americans.”

Today’s conference included a keynote address provided by Secretary Burwell, and a panel discussion with experts on Healthy Aging and LTSS (Long-Term Services and Supports).
