Congresswoman-Elect Ayanna Pressley to recount historic campaign and preview legislative priorities Thursday at Kennedy Institute

Outgoing Boston City Councilor to share experiences from her public service as she readies for a new chapter on Capitol Hill

BOSTON - On Thursday, December 13, the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate will welcome At-Large Boston City Councilor and Congresswoman-Elect Ayanna Pressley. Pressley will take part in a Moderated discussion at the Institute with Shirley Leung, The Boston Globe’s Interim Editorial Page Editor, serving as moderator.

As a Senior Aide to both Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy II and Senator John Kerry and then becoming the first woman of color to serve on the Boston City Council, Pressley will share insight from her longstanding commitment to community-based policy reform in addition to reflecting on her most recent history-making campaign and previewing the issues she will be fighting for in the 116th Congress.
