A Tribute To Senate Edward W. Brooke

The following statement was released by Victoria Reggie Kennedy, President of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate Board of Directors, on the passing of Senator Edward W. Brooke of Massachusetts.

“Ed Brooke embodied the very best of what it means to be a public servant. He was a gentleman and a bridge builder who showed us that the United States Senate was a place where men and women of good will and both parties could come together to address the great challenges facing our nation.

Ed Brooke has left a lasting legacy of achievement and inspiration. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Anne and his family.”
